ICAO Global Aviation Security Symposium will draw the preceding panel discussions on aviation security best practices. Industry Engagement Day will be hosted by ICAO and will bring together a select group of key policy and decision makers from States, stakeholders, and industry partners​ to participate in roundtable discussions and interactive dialogues.
Introduction
The International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) will convene its fourth annual Global Aviation Security Symposium (AVSEC2020) virtually on 18 December 2020.

Time to promote an effective security culture in the greater aviation community.
Symposium Objectives
The ICAO Global Aviation Security Symposium 2020 (AVSEC2020) has a theme of “Improving Security Culture by Connecting the Dots”. This is timely given that 2021 is the ICAO Year of Security Culture. The Symposium will highlight the importance of raising security awareness in aviation, especially in the light of COVID-19, with experts sharing best practices and practical advice in developing a strong and effective security culture.
The Symposium will reveal the benefits of an effective security culture and provide tips on how to establish, change and maintain good security behaviours in the aviation community where security should be everyone’s responsibility. The Symposium will also highlight ICAO security culture tools and resources that are featured on the ICAO Security Culture website.
