Introduction

ABOUT PPPEXPO ETHIOPIA 2022

Ethiopia was Africa's fastest growing economy in 2015 and has experienced double-digit economic growth every year, for the past decade. With the government actively pushing for industrialisation with a major focus on the manufacturing sector, there is a huge gap to be filled between supply and demand, especially in the plastics, printing and packaging sectors.

PPPEXPO AFRICA is the only dedicated industry specific international trade show for the Plastics, Printing & Packaging Industry in the entire East African region. After 22 successful editions covering Kenya and Tanzania the PPPEXPO comes back to Ethiopia, to be held at The Millennium Hall, Addis Ababa, from 18 - 20 October, 2022.

The Ethiopian government has been offering incentives such as tax free import of machineries and export duty exemptions to promote investment in agro-processing, one of its major sectors having a huge potential of adding value to its agriculture sector, which contributes to 40% of the GDP. With the agro-processing industry growing at a rapid rate, there is an acute packaging shortage experienced by the industry.

PPPEXPO ETHIOPIA aims to bridge that gap by providing the perfect platform for buyers, sellers and other industry members to witness products and machinery dealing with the complete life cycle of the industry; from raw materials to their processing, printing, labelling and packaging.
