Saint Andrew Bay Quilters Guild show features product cooperation with other guilds to provide a nicely made red, white & blue memorial quilt to the family of every service person who has been killed in Afghanistan and Iraq from Knitting & Stitching industry.
Introduction
The Guild members look forward to sharing the projects they have completed recently. Due to recent health restrictions, including being homebound, members have had extra time to devote to their quilting So we are hopeful for many new quilts.
The Quilt Show is a judged competition with winners receiving ribbons as their reward. Our show program will describe the categories. Each of the categories is judged separately. There are some separate awards, such as Judge’s Choice, Viewer’s Choice, Hand Quilting Award and Machine Quilting Awards. We have a special award given to the quilt which exhibits exceptional handwork. It is called the Bobbi Award and is given in memory of a special lady who excelled in handwork.
The ribbons presented to the quilters are made by hand by members of our Guild. We take pride in our ribbons. And feel it an honor to win one.
In addition to the quilt display, the show features a Silent Auction, Quilters’ Boutique, Sewing Machine Raffle and of course, VENDORS!
