Introduction

OUR HISTORY

Founded in 1991, the Alliance Air Show was known as the Fort Worth International Air Show and was produced by the Aviation Heritage Association, a nonprofit organization. The Aviation Heritage Association was under contract with the City of Fort Worth to conduct the air show for the local North Texas Community. The mission of the Heritage Association was to dedicate funds to building the Aviation Heritage Museum and Educational Training Center.

In December of 2005, the Aviation Heritage Association elected to get out of the air show business. The City of Fort Worth approached Alliance Air Services, the entity that manages the Fort Worth Alliance Airport under a multi-year contract with the City of Fort Worth, to continue the production of the air show for the North Texas community. In 2006, Alliance Air Services created a nonprofit organization called Alliance Air Productions, a Hillwood entity, to produce the Bell Fort Worth Alliance Air Show.

Now, 32 years later, the Bell Fort Worth Alliance Air Show has transformed into a one-day-only event with an even greater focus on our regional aviation industry. Adopting a new name in 2022, the AllianceTexas Aviation Expo continues to build on the great legacy of air show events at Perot Field Fort Worth Alliance Airport.

Following a modified show in 2020 and 2021 in response to the pandemic, the AllianceTexas Aviation Expo brings back so much of what makes air shows great. Fans get to experience North Texas’ only showcase of world-renowned jet teams and aerial performers, a wide array of festival-type food vendors, family-friendly activities in the Landing Zone and the return of touch and tour aircraft displays on the Flight Line.
