Precautions for Electric Bicycles

With the technology change, the structure of the current electric assist bicycle has matured a lot. The five components of electric-assisted bicycles are controllers, motors, sensors, batteries, and display interfaces. This can be further subdivided into cable connectors, torque sensors, speed sensors, battery management devices, electronic devices such as vehicle management systems, transmission devices, user control interfaces, and electric transmissions making the power assist technology of electric assist bicycles more and more complete.

Precautions for Electric Bicycles (e-bike):

1. Battery:

Rechargeable batteries are the equipment for all-electric vehicles to store electricity. The common forms of rechargeable batteries on the market can be divided into lead-acid batteries and lithium-ion batteries. However, lead-acid batteries are not easy to maintain because of their memory effect, volume and weight. It is large and releases a small amount of toxic gas when charging, so it is rare to use this type of battery in the market; lithium-ion batteries are common in the field of consumer electronics, with high energy density and no memory effect, and only slow charge loss when not in use. In addition to consumer electronics products, increasingly advanced lithium-ion batteries are becoming more and more popular, such as electric vehicles and drones also use lithium batteries as energy storage devices. Although lithium-ion batteries have advantages in energy storage, they may cause fire or explosion when overcharged or over-discharged. Therefore, when choosing a vehicle, it is important to choose a high-quality battery with a qualified label.

Batteries are consumables. After charging and discharging times reach a certain level, the storable power will be greatly reduced to less than half. However, if you do not replace the battery with a new one, it will affect the battery life of your car. The best way to evaluate is to convert the required battery capacity based on the average weekly driving distance and choose a battery that meets the required storage capacity.

2. Battery Capacity and Motor Power:

The voltage and capacity of the rechargeable battery are related to the performance and endurance of the car and are important parts that affect the cost of the car. The 10Ah and 20Ah marked on the top of the battery refer to the electric capacity of the battery. If the battery capacity is 10Ah, it means that the motor uses electricity the power consumption rate is 10A (ampere). The battery can be used continuously for 1 hour. If the power consumption rate of the motor is 5A, it can be used continuously for 2 hours.

Common battery specifications on the market are generally divided into 24V, 36V, 48V, 60V standard voltage, and 5AH, 10AH, 12AH, 15AH, 20AH, 22AH, 30AH and other standard capacities. The higher the battery capacity, the longer the cruising range will be. The distance traveled on a full charge is longer.

Brushless DC Motors are durable and efficient. When purchasing, be sure to ask whether the motor is brushless. Electric assist bicycle motors on the market are often marked with power, such as 250W, 350W, 500W, 800W, 1000W, 1200W, etc. The higher the power of the motor larger means better the performance of the car, and the more common configurations are 250W and 350W cars.

3. Field of Use:

When you choose a car model, you must first consider the purpose of the car, because cars with different purposes will have great differences in parts settings, among which the tire size is the most critical.

20-22 inches - Shuttle in the city:

Recommended for you and your female friends and seniors who live in the city. It has a low center of gravity and a small turning radius, making it relatively lightweight, making it ideal for navigating the streets of the city. If you choose a wider tire, the friction force will be greater when accelerating the bicycle, and it will consume more power. It will be easier to start, and it will save effort and energy when going uphill.

  • The best choice in the metropolitan area.
  • Low center of gravity and good stability.
  • The cornering radius is small, and the body is light.
24-26 inches - long travel:

Bicycle tires are big, so they have an advantage in speed. They are especially suitable for long-distance travel. If you add bags or shelves to carry equipment, it will be more suitable for friends who often need to carry supplies during commuting or long-distance travel.

Because the performance of electric-assisted bicycles is good and the speed is fast, safety is the greatest consideration. It is recommended to use tires with obvious deep tooth structure, large tooth pattern spacing, and good grip ability, which will bring a certain degree of shock absorption. The all-around mountain bike tire with the effect is better, and it is suitable for ordinary mountain cross-country road riding.

  • It is not difficult to ride long distances and climb up the mountain.
  • It is more suitable for friends who are not in the good physical condition and want to ride long distances.
Body folding function:

Compared with traditional bicycles, electric-assisted bicycles have added batteries and motors, so the weight is generally not too light. But if it has a folding function, it can still increase a lot of practicality, such as putting the electric-assisted bicycle indoors or storing it behind the car in the suitcase, the space required for storage can be reduced after the bicycle is folded, whether it is stored in the storage room, living room or the rear compartment, it will be much more convenient.

4. Is there a Torque Meter?

As the name suggests, an electric-assisted bicycle is a bicycle with auxiliary power. A good power-assisted system allows you to climb mountains and slopes, while a bad power-assisted system makes you ride harder. Currently, there are two types of power assist systems on electric vehicles on the market:

  • The first one is equipped with a Torque sensor. This device can detect how much pressure the rider is stepping on the pedals, and then operate the motor to provide corresponding auxiliary power according to the precise algorithm. This method is friendly and well-designed. The system even makes the rider feel that there is no auxiliary power. Whether you are going uphill or on a flat road, you can get enough power to drive smoothly all the way. However, the price of the car with this device is relatively high and belongs to the high-end car.
  • The second type is equipped with a speed-detection device. The device is made of simple magnetic materials. This device is used to detect the number of revolutions of the front chainring and uses the speed of the front chainring and a simple algorithm to determine the rotation speed. The amount of power assistance is provided, but there is a problem with this device. When you go uphill and get closer to the high slope, the speed of the vehicle will drop significantly, and the pedal speed will also change slowly. At this time, the power assist will be lost relatively, and the rider needs to use more If you step on the pedals to move the car with enough strength, you will feel very strenuous and even out of breath at this time. But this device is simple and cheap, so most low-end cars will use this device.

5. Is there a Lightning Mark?

When purchasing an electric-assisted bicycle, it is best to confirm whether the product has a qualified mark. It must pass the national safety test (CNS14126), and must pass the inspection of the Ministry of Communications, and have a qualified mark before it can be legally used on the road. In addition, electric-assisted bicycles are different from ordinary bicycles. Subsequent maintenance issues must be considered when purchasing. It is wise to choose a brand manufacturer with a complete maintenance system. Ask about the follow-up after-sales service conditions. It is recommended in the process of choosing a vehicle You should test drive it before you can find the car that suits you best.

Beyond Part Holding: The Role of TCP Thin Carrier Plate in Advanced Automated Manufacturing
As manufacturing environments become more compact, more precise, and more automated, components that were once treated as secondary are gaining much greater technical importance. Among them, the tcp thin carrier plate has become increasingly relevant in high-density production, especially in processes involving precision transfer, terminal handling, dipping-related applications, and repeated automated movement. For procurement teams, process engineers, and equipment integrators, the decision is no longer just about whether a carrier plate can physically hold a part. The more important question is whether it can maintain stable performance under real production conditions. In high-density manufacturing, even a small variation in flatness, thickness consistency, rigidity, or thermal behavior may lead to process instability, lower yield, or increased equipment interruption. This is why the tcp thin carrier plate is now being assessed more carefully as a process-critical component rather than a simple fixture.
