Top Drain Line: This tube carries the wastewater from the RO system to the sink drain. The drain water flows out of this tube across a gap, typically a small slit or series of holes on the faucet stem, before entering the bottom drain tube. This "air gap" prevents water from the drain from backing up into the RO system. 

Bottom Drain Tube: After the wastewater flows over the air gap, it enters this tube, which directs it to the drainpipe under the sink.

While these faucets offer enhanced safety, they can sometimes be noisier due to the gurgling sounds produced during operation.
